Light & Airy Bridal Shower
When my coworker asked me to photograph her daughter's wedding, it was a no brainer! The venue: Carolina Trace Country Club in Sanford, NC. I had not been to the country club or Sanford for that matter. The venue was deLIGHTful! The room was light and airy with giant windows, but this can cause for some difficult photography with the morning sun shining bright directly through the windows. As you can see below, early on the light was quite harsh, but as the day progressed, the sun moved outside the direct line of the windows.

The Setup
The room was setup with the tables in a 'U' shape to help create an easy conversation setting. The boot theme was carried throughout with cowboy boot bottle openers used as napkin rings. The tables were adorned with gold chargers and amber glass bottles holding flowers with a large floral display in front of the bride. There was a mimosa bar with orange juice and cranberry and a dessert table with a tower of donuts and dipping sauces and a cake made by the bride's aunt. Both the mimosa table and dessert table had boots that were used as vases to hold beautiful floral displays.

There were two tables with pictures of the bride through the years, a place to write advice to bride and groom, a jar of kisses and pages for games. The gift table was in the corner with a string of hearts hanging from the edge, and balloons adorned the floor providing a whimsical touch.

The Food
The bride is a woman after my own heart, going for a brunch menu: fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes. It was delicious!

Let's Party!
The bride wore a white square neck dress with long sleeves and boots (of course). The party began with greetings as people joined. Once everyone was there, everyone ate before moving on to cutting the cake, games, and ending the party with gifts and of course photos!
