Turning 40 Calls for Celebration!
This year, I entered a new decade! In 2013 when we turned 30, one of my best friend's Fiona and I celebrated with a trip to the Dominican Republic. This year, we ended up on what we have loving coined "Tour de Florida" because we made A LOT of different stops, all throughout the state.
We stayed the night in Orlando and went to Disney Springs. We spent the day in Tampa and took a walk along the Riverwalk. We stayed in Bonita Springs and enjoyed the spas and pools. We took a day trip to Miami and visited the Big Cypress National Preserve. We saw the devastation from Hurricane Ian in Ft. Myers. We visited the DeSoto National Monument in Bradenton. We swam in Ichetucknee Springs State Park. I hope you enjoy this look into our Trip!
Tampa Riverwalk
We took a walk along the Riverwalk in Tampa. It was nice break from being in the car. There were kids playing in the parks, and people jogging, and people boating on the river. It was quite picturesque. We planned to visit a restaurant named Ulele for lunch because of this bread pudding that they have a Pineapple Upside-Down Bread Pudding with house-made toasted coconut ice cream and dark rum sauce. IT WAS FANTASTIC! It was like a pina colada in food form. The absolute best thing we ate on the trip! If you're in the area, you must stop!

My First Time in Miami...
There are a few things that I love about Miami. I love love LOVE the architecture! The Art Deco style is such a beautiful thing, and the colors are unique and fun! I love Cuban food, which we already knew as I have a lot of Cuban friends and worked at a Cuban restaurant for a few years. But I also learned something about myself, the city is not for me anymore! It's a great place to visit but wouldn't be a place that I would choose to live!

Impromtu Photoshoot...
And I made my friend commit to a photo shoot while we were in Miami, and I love the way they turned out!
